System Requirements for Logosys Playout Software

Logosys Broadcast Automation is the solution for a wide range of applications. It allows you to create a simple player or powerful broadcasting system. The system requirements depend on many factors: number of input and output streams, their formats and resolutions, type of processing, usage of plugins etc. So there are no stringent requirements suitable for all tasks This article provides an overview of the recommended system requirements for getting the best experience with Logosys Boradcast Automation.

We strongly recommend to use the computer exclusively for Logosys Playout. We ask you NOT to install Office or other utility programs. As per the antivirus, we recommend to use only Windows Security Essentials. 

Minimum Technical requirements:

  1. For SD Transmitting: i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10, video card with 2GB of RAM.
  2. For HD Transmitting: i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10, video card with 2GB of RAM. 
  3. For 4K Transmitting: i7 8th gen processor, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10, video card with 2GB of RAM.
  1. SD / HD: i7 processor with 16 GB RAM,  Windows 10
  2. 4K Transmittion: i7 8th gen processor or i9 processor, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10, video card with 2GB of RAM.

Tested BlackMagic Design video cards:
  1. BlackMagic DeckLink Mini monitor.
  2. BlackMagic DeckLink Mini recorder (only for HDMI/SDI capture)
  3. BlackMagic DeckLink SDI 4K
  4. BlackMagic DeckLink Duo 2
  5. BlackMagic DeckLink Studio 4K
  6. BlackMagic DeckLink Quad 2
  7. BlackMagic DeckLink 4K Extreme
  8. BlackMagic Intensity / IntensityPro
  9. BlackMagic UltraStudio
We support all older models of Decklink cards as well.

If you need to generate RTMP stream, it's necessary to have a video card with NVidia NVENC Encoder for Streaming/Video recording (H264, HEVC). More info at https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-gpu-support-matrix

Note: We strongly recommend you to test your use cases with the conditions as close to real as possible before you buy full version of Logosys cable tv softwares.
